Terms of Service

Welcome to Rooted Circle. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. About Rooted Circle

Rooted Circle is a platform for organising, tracking, and sharing Christian ministry events. We connect event attendees, churches, ministries, and organisers in one faith-filled community. Users can discover events, register and purchase tickets, and join ministry Circles. Our shop and learning courses are still being built and are not yet open.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rooted Circle. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Event Bookings & Tickets

• When you register for an event, you enter into a direct agreement with the event organiser. Rooted Circle facilitates the booking but is not a party to that agreement.
• Ticket availability is limited by venue capacity. We process bookings on a first-come, first-served basis.
• You will receive a confirmation email and digital pass upon successful registration.
• For free events, registration is confirmed instantly. For paid events, your booking is confirmed once payment is successfully processed through Stripe.

4. Booking Fees & Payments

• Listing an event on Rooted Circle is free. We do not charge listing fees, and we do not add a booking fee or commission to ticket sales.
• Ticket prices are set by the event organiser. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and Rooted Circle does not store your card details.
• Prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise indicated.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellation and refund policies are set by each event organiser. Check the event page for specific terms.
• If an event is cancelled by the organiser, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.
• Refunds, where applicable, are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing activity.
• Post content that is offensive, disrespectful, or contrary to the Christian values Rooted Circle upholds.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with an organisation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or its systems.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the platform without permission.

7. Event Organiser Responsibilities

• Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of event details, including dates, locations, pricing, and descriptions.
• Organisers must comply with all applicable laws, licences, and permits for their events.
• Rooted Circle reserves the right to remove events that violate these Terms or our community standards.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on Rooted Circle — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by Rooted Circle or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Event content posted by organisers remains the property of the organiser. You may not reproduce or distribute platform content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Rooted Circle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Privacy

Your use of Rooted Circle is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and handle your personal information.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
